Easy Spring Tulip Card Craft

Tulip Paper Flower Card
Step 1. Prepare All the Materials Needed Paper Flower Tutorial
♥ Several pieces of colored cardboard (yellow, green, light green and brown)
♥ A black pen
♥ ½ centimeter wide satin ribbon
♥ A pair of scissors
♥ Hot glue gun + glue
Step 2: Cut A Rectangle
Cut a rectangle from the yellow cardboard. The dimensions should be at least 15 centimeters by 12 centimeters. This will be used as the flower part of the tulip card.
Step 3: Fold
Fold the right side of the yellow board towards the center. Make room for the left part of the board.
Step 4: Fold Again
Fold the left part of the board towards the center, over the right folded one.
Step 5: Unfold
It should look like this when unfolded. Refold before next step.
Step 6: Create The Tulip Tips
Cut several small triangles on one side of the folded yellow cardboard.
Step 7: Should Look Like This
It should look like this once done. Take note that the cardboard must be folded to achieve the result.
Step 8: Make The Curve Of Bottom Of The Flower
Cut a curve on the opposite side of the folded yellow cardboard.
Step 9: Unfold
The tulip should look like this when unfolded.
Step 10: Make The Stem
Cut a short strip of brown board. This will serve as the stem of the tulip.
Step 11: Make the leaves
Cut two pieces of leaves from the green cardboard.
Step 12: Making The Leaves
Hot glue the leaves on a lighter shade of green cardboard.
Step 13: Cut out The Leaves Again
Cut the light green board in reference to the shape of the green leaves. Make sure to leave a small clearance on the sides to create a 3D-ish, floating effect.
Step 14: Attach the stem and flower
Hot glue the stem on the back of the folded tulip flower.
Step 15: Attach the leaves
Hot glue the leaves on the stem. Make sure that they are properly placed on the opposite side of each.
Step 16: Make a Bow
Create a small bow from the satin ribbon and hot glue this on the bottom of the folded tulip flower.
Step 17: Write Your Message
Write your personal message to your mom by unfolding the tulip flower.
Step 18: Ta-Dah!
All done! You can now give this personalized tulip card to your favorite special someone.
This is a perfect gift for your mother and can be used on all occasions.
