Colored Paper: We turned our fan’s into cute watermelon and citrus fruit designs.

Popsicle sticks: We’ll turn these into the handle of our fans.

How to Make a Paper Plate Fan

Let’s create your very own Paper Plate Fan with just a few simple steps!

First, grab a paper plate and cut it in half.

Then, take some colored paper and trace the shape of the paper plate onto it. Cut out the traced shape to cover the plate.

Next, let’s work on the handle of the fan. Grab your popsicle sticks and use a glue gun to stick them together.

Once they’re secure, it’s time to attach the handle to the paper plate.

Place the popsicle sticks in between the two halves of the plate and use the glue gun to hold them in place.

We decided to go with a watermelon paper plate fan for this one, so we glued the red cutout to the green cut out to make a watermelon design.

Then added some black pieces to create the seeds of the watermelon for more detail and more fun.
